Amusement park established next to Agongdian Reservoir as Fengyou Garden (逢友園) in 1975. It was rebranded Agongdian Lakeside Paradise (阿公店湖濱樂園) in 1989 as Taiwan’s amusement park industry entered its most competitive era. Struggling to retain crowds due to a glut of similar attractions, it transformed yet again into a leisure area with international performers, primarily from Bali, Indonesia. In the twilight years of Taiwan’s amusement park boom it closed to all but group tours in 2006 and finally shut down for good in 2009. Much of the park has been dismantled, and as of now it is uncertain whether more than traces remain.
