Zhiben Theater (知本戲院) - Spectral Codex

Established in part of an old rice mill by Lin Guangxing (林光星) on the southwest side of Zhiben. It was a rudimentary theater with seating for 350 and only operated until 1966, after which the facility was sold. The new owners occasionally rented the space for cabaret acts in the 1980s. Since the rice mill had a waterwheel there was probably an irrigation canal running through the property, and it seems to have been on the southwest side of what is now Zhiben Elementary School (知本國小).
