A monumental Buddhist temple founded by Shi Weijue (釋惟覺) and completed in 2001. At 136 meters and 37 floors it is Taiwan’s tallest Buddhist structure and the second tallest in the world. Along with Dharma Drum Mountain, Fo Guang Shan, and Tzu Chi it is considered one of modern Taiwan’s Four Great Buddhist monasteries.
