This hilltop settlement was the domain of port authorities in the Japanese colonial war. After the Japanese were expelled these facilities were allocated to incoming officials at the port, and also military veterans. Several new buildings were constructed over the years, but at least some have since been depopulated and demolished. Traces of this old community can still be found around the area.
