Jiaxianpu Kuva (甲仙埔公廨) - Spectral Codex
甲仙埔公廨

A Taivoan (大武壠族) kuva (公廨) dedicated to Taizu (太祖), for a Plains Indigenous group who migrated into the mountains due to settlement pressure as Taiwan was colonized. It was rebuilt in 1994 after the developer of a nearby residential complex made brisk sales, but seemingly without much input from the local Indigenous community. Presently it resembles a Han Taiwanese land god shrine, although there is a sacred jar under the altar as one would find in a Plains Indigenous kuva. Nowadays it is formally known as Zushi Shrine (祖師祠).
