A land god shrine (伯公亭) in Houlong, Miaoli, founded in 1760 during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor. During the Japanese colonial era the pavilion was damaged and replaced with a makeshift Shinto shrine (簡易神社); the two large coral trees (刺桐) recorded in photographs from that period still stand. After the war the villagers restored the site to its original function, and it remains in use today.
