Rebuilt in 1965 and designed by Yang Cho-cheng (楊卓成), who was also responsible for the Grand Hotel in Taipei. Chiang Kai-shek originally stayed here on visits to the Lishan area, but despite the panoramic views he grew dissatisfied and began favoring Fushoushan Villa (福壽山莊) instead. The hotel still retains its presidential suite in its original configuration and is now open to the public.
