A Hoffmann kiln (八卦窯) built in 1961 for firing red bricks. It ws purchased by the Xu family in 1969 who expanded the site with a tunnel kiln in 1971. The vintage Hoffmann kiln ceased operation in 1972 while the tunnel kiln continued until 1991. Registered as a historic building, the site was renovated in 2001 and now operates as a brick kiln cultural park with exhibition space, dining facilities, and a guesthouse.
