The auditorium of Zhenxi Elementary School in Douliu, Yunlin, was constructed during the Japanese colonial era between 1932 and 1935. The original timber walls were rebuilt in reinforced brick in 1971 but the cypress roof trusses were retained. Registered as a historic building in 2006 and comprehensively restored between 2018 and 2019, reopening in time for the school’s 117th graduation ceremony.
