The third and most ill-fated of the Shimen Reservoir (石門水庫) resettlement villages, hastily built in 1963 for 82 Tayal households from nine villages in Fuxing Township (復興鄉) facing submersion by the reservoir. That September Typhoon Gloria (葛樂禮) forced an emergency reservoir discharge whose floodwaters destroyed half the new houses along the Dahan River (大漢溪); the displaced households were relocated yet again to Datan in Guanyin, while the village itself was rebuilt behind a new levee.
