Ts’ao Yung-ho Residence (曹永和故居) - Spectral Codex

One of several Japanese colonial era residences located along Wenzhou Street Lane 52 (溫州街52). They were built to house staff at the nearby Taihoku Imperial University, now National Taiwan University (國立臺灣大學). It was later the residence of famed Dutch and Spanish Formosa historian Ts’ao Yung-ho, who lived here until passing at the age of 93 in 2014. NTU demolished this and several other residences on this same street in 2024, sparking public outcry.
