Completed in October 1930 as a county-level butokuden (武德殿), this martial arts hall in central Changhua retains the characteristic spring-loaded floor that distinguish a purpose-built dōjō. After 1945 it was repurposed as an ROC martyrs’ shrine. Decades of neglect and damage from the 921 Earthquake left it derelict until a costly restoration was completed in 2005. Listed as a city monument in 2007, it now functions as a special events space for the city.
