A museum centered around what is likely Taiwan’s only surviving oyster shell kiln (蚵灰窯). Residents of this maritime community burned oyster shells to produce cement for boat construction and housing, later enhancing the mixture with sugar and glutinous rice water. The industry disappeared into history by the mid-1980s, and only in the mid-2000s was this site rediscovered and registered as a municipal monument.
