Nothing remains at the former site of the late Qing dynasty city of Yunlin, now situated in Zhushan, Nantou. The construction of the walled compound was never fully funded and by 1893 the site was abandoned in favor of a new city in what is now Douliu, Yunlin. Incidentally, this is why Yunlin County is the only administrative unit in Taiwan without a corresponding city of the same name!
