An old coal mining area in the hills of Zhonghe. It was developed in the Japanese colonial era but most of the relics found on site today date back to a newer mine sunk in 1975. As of 2014 there were several buildings and some pits still accessible. Take appropriate precautions should you visit; abandoned mines are dangerous!
