Twin Japanese-style dormitories on the grounds of Ankeng Public School (安坑公學校), established in 1899 and relocated to a former gendarmerie post in 1904. The front dormitory was built around 1929 and the rear between 1929 and 1937; both were registered as historic buildings in 2007 despite post-war fire damage and renovations that largely preserved their Japanese colonial era form.
