達德勒社

Slate house foundations spread along a slope near the northwest peak of Yanidi (亞泥笛西北峰) in the mountains of Wutai, Pingtung, mark the location of a former Rukai Indigenous village. According to a Japanese colonial report of 1900, a party arriving in late 1899 found its thirty houses shut and silent; the residents had reportedly been killed two months earlier in a war with the Puno (プノ), possibly the Bunun. In the Rukai legend of Princess Balenge (巴冷公主), Dadel is the village where the chief’s daughter married Adalio (阿達里歐), the snake king of Little Ghost Lake (小鬼湖).
