An unfinished five-storey temple complex located behind Chishan Temple (新園赤山巖) at the northern end of Xinyuan, Pingtung. The precise reason for its indeterminate status is unknown, but there’s a reasonable chance it was constructed without proper permits, with the builders ordered to stop before it was finished. Nowadays the site has been claimed by the airsoft community, who regularly use the space for gaming, and it has also come to the attention of urban explorers in Taiwan. Despite the name it was never intended to be a factory.
