No. 9 Immigrant Village Irrigation Canal Bridge (彰化九號移民村埤圳橋) - Spectral Codex

One of the last vestiges of Japanese immigrant villages along the Dongluo River (東螺溪) floodplain is this humble irrigation canal bridge, now flush with the surface of farmers’ roads coursing through the fields south of the former settlement. It is unremarkable except for the inscription, which is written in barely legible Japanese, a rare find given post-war orders to scrub any such writing from monuments and infrastructure.
