Health History in Taiwan (臺灣公共衛生發展史) - Spectral Codex

Taiwan’s healthcare infrastructure evolved from its foundations in the Japanese colonial period (1895–1945), when the Government-General of Taiwan (臺灣總督府) established the first modern medical facilities, through significant post-war expansion under ROC administration to the contemporary proliferation of advanced hospitals and clinics all around the country. Demographic changes, medical malpractice, and the aging population have also led to the abandonment of numerous hospitals and clinics, particularly in rural areas.
