A roadside monument on the Southern Cross-Island Highway (南橫公路) commemorating civil engineer Chen Wu-Hsiung (陳武雄). He was killed while surveying a landslide on the highway in 1971 and the bureau of transportation erected this monument in his honor in 1973.
