A rare example of a heavily modified hōanden (奉安殿), a specialized structure that once housed imperial Japanese scripts in the vicinity of Kotobuki Ordinary and Higher Elementary School, originally an institution solely for Japanese students. In the post-war era it was converted for use as a shrine to Tudigong (土地公), the God of Land, but retains many of its original architectural features. It was presumably known as Kotobuki-hōanden in the original Japanese.
