Originally established in Japanese times as Suehiro Hall (末廣館). It was one of around 17 theaters nationalized by the KMT after the war. It was rebuilt in 2000 but business did not go well and it closed for a time. Ownership changed in 2009 and the site was redeveloped into the modern Guanghua Cineplex (光華影城).
