Established in 1956 as one of the larger theaters in town with a capacity exceeding 1,000. Shareholders included Lan Jiajing (藍家精) and Zhang Wenrui (張文瑞). It was replaced by the Xinguang Insurance Building (新光人壽大樓) at some unspecified time in the past.
