A small Shinto shrine located on a hilltop at the north end of central Pinglin, on the rear hillside of what is now Pinglin Junior High School (坪林國中). In the post-war era it was dismantled and a statue of Guanyin (觀音) was installed at the site, today known as the Guanyin Platform (觀音台). The platform’s dedication inscription on the rear face notes that this was the former shrine site. Known as Herin-sha in the original Japanese.
