The Kaohsiung branch of the Grand Hotel, one of Taiwan’s most iconic state-owned hotels. Originally established in 1957 along the Love River, it relocated to its current site next to scenic Chengqing Lake in 1971. The building was designed by Yang Zhuocheng (楊卓成) in the Chinese palace style characteristic of the Grand Hotel chain and has hosted numerous foreign dignitaries over the decades.
