A small Inari shrine established in October 1928 on the slope of a hill in southern Miaoli City. It was a private shrine (構內社) built by the nearby sugar factory (苗栗製糖所), which no longer exists. Time has taken its toll on the remains of this old shrine, but several stone lantern bases can still be discerned while climbing the visiting path to what is now the Erpingshan Campus (二坪山校區) of National United University (國立聯合大學). Presumably known as Byoritsu Inari-sha in the original Japanese.
