Founded in 1916 as the Luodong Credit Union (羅東信用組合) by district leader Chén Chúnjīng (陳純精) and local gentry to provide financial services in a town that had none. Expanded into agricultural warehousing in 1920 to address grain drying and storage problems in the rainy Lanyang climate, and built its current two-storey office in 1936. Nowadays it appears to be disused.
