A city god temple on Zhongzheng Road in central Luodong, originally established in 1815 as a modest wooden shrine to the Lord of the Masses (大眾爺) on the site of an old burial ground. In 1820 a stele was erected inside to honour the Pingpu Indigenous leaders Pān Xiánwén (潘賢文) and Máo Gé (茅格), who led the early settlement of Luodong, earning the temple the local nickname “Aboriginal Temple” (番仔廟). The present brick and tile structure was rebuilt in 1933 when the deity was elevated to city god status to match Luodong’s administrative promotion to a district seat.
