A submarine coal mine located behind National Taiwan Ocean University, operated by Chen Mankui (陳滿魁). On December 10th, 1980, a gas explosion killed two miners working a tunnel beneath the sea floor. The mine had a brief operational life, closing in 1982 after producing just over 14,000 tonnes of coal. Remnants include a coal storage structure and the collapsed mine entrance.
