Established in July 1936 as an unranked shrine (無格社), it was upgraded to a district shrine (鄉社) around 1944. Today the site is Zhongshan Park (中山公園) in Jiali, with some parts of the original grounds extending south into the National Beimen Senior High School (國立北門高級中學) campus. As near as anyone can tell nothing remains of this once extensive Shinto shrine.
