Hualien District Court (花蓮地方法院) - Spectral Codex
Hualien District Court (花蓮地方法院)

Established in 1936 as a branch of Taipei District Court (台北地方法院花蓮港支部) during Japanese colonial rule, this is one of the oldest judicial institutions in eastern Taiwan. The court relocated to its present site at the foot of Meilunshan (美崙山) after the devastating 1951 Hualien earthquake, with the current building completed in 1965. It holds jurisdiction over the entirety of Hualien County, the largest county in Taiwan by area, making it the district court with the largest territorial jurisdiction in the country.
