Beitou Zhaomingjing Temple (照明淨寺) - Spectral Codex

A Buddhist temple in Beitou with a distinctive Thai and Indian-influenced design, formerly known as the Lover’s Temple (情人廟) for its wax figures depicting famous Chinese love stories. Founded in 1973 as a mixed Buddhist-Taoist temple, it was converted into a purely Buddhist temple in 1987 and now houses a Thousand-Armed Guanyin and 500 Arhat statues modeled after those at Jingci Temple in Hangzhou.
