Originally established as the Isokan Police Garrison (イソガン警察官吏駐在所) in the Bunun settlement of Izukan (伊入柑) before being renamed to Luntian. Two gate pillars from the former garrison survive beside the current police station, though they have been modified from their original appearance. Fragments of Japanese colonial era bottles have been found in the flower beds around the pillars.
