Zhucuolun Fuju Temple (朱厝崙福聚宮) - Spectral Codex

A temple venerating Tudigong (土地公) at the heart of the Liaoning Street Night Market (遼寧街夜市). Although its name is usually written Zhucuolun (朱厝崙), this is a long-standing corruption of the original place name Zhoucuolun (周厝崙). The temple traces its origins to a tiny stone shrine of 1821, though the present building dates only to 1961. It serves as a focal point of Zhongshan’s annual Baoyi Dafu (保儀大夫) procession. The night market itself grew up around the temple, as the crowds drawn by its festivals attracted the vendors who in time became today’s bustling food street.
