A two-storey wooden building constructed during the Japanese colonial era around 1937. It was originally a tobacco and alcohol wholesale outlet (賣捌所) under Taiwan’s monopoly system. The store was operated by Kojima Jinzaburo (小島仁三郎), a former Yilan Street Mayor, beginning in 1940. After World War 2 it served as a dormitory for government officials before being designated a county monument in 2003. The building has since been restored and now operates as a restaurant and cultural venue.
