A golden age cinema established in 1964 on what was previously an empty field with seating for 1,400. In 1979 it was split into two halls, Wanguo Theater (萬國戲院) and Zhongguo Theater (中國戲院). In the 1980s it was further subdivided into four halls. It closed in 1990 and was demolished in 1992 as part of an urban renewal project. It was later replaced by a mixed-use commercial and residential development anchored by Dongyuan Jinzan Shopping Center (東園金贊商場).
