Wong Tai Sin (黃大仙區) is a primarily residential district in Kowloon with a population of around 407,000. It is named after the Wong Tai Sin Temple, a major Taoist shrine established in 1921. The district is the only one in Hong Kong without a coastline, and about 80% of residents live in public housing estates.
