In the 1950s there was once a bamboo-walled theater along Jiangnan Road (江南路) in the old Gangqian (港墘) part of Neihu. It was more of a traditional opera and performance venue than a cinema. The entire area has been so completely redeveloped that no trace remains of even the streets that once existed, so the location is approximate. There was also a Neihu Theater with a capacity of 850 operated by Xie Qing (謝慶) in Gangqian according to the Taiwan General Guide (1960), so they may be one and the same.
