A former Shinto shrine associated with the Huoshao Island Vagrant Detention Center (火燒島浮浪者收容所), a facility established in April 1912 to detain “vagrants” and individuals with criminal records. The center closed in February 1920 due to high operating costs, at which point the shrine was likely abandoned. Stone lanterns and stone steps remain on the hillside behind the former Green Island Prison (綠島監獄), but the precise location is unknown.
