An important police garrison post on the former Naihonroku Security Road, now Neibenlu Yueling Historic Trail (內本鹿越嶺古道), established in 1926 at an elevation of approximately 1,670 meters. The garrison was staffed with police officers tasked with controlling the surrounding Bunun Indigenous communities and included an attached school. A cement base from the former Asahi Shinto Shrine (朝日神社) remains above the garrison site.
