Completed in 1935, this well-preserved Japanese colonial era martial arts hall was repurposed for use as the local headquarters of the military police in the post-war era. After the withdrawal of the military police in 2000 it was restored and recognized for its heritage value. It is now home to the Daxi Wood Art Ecomuseum (桃園市立大溪木藝生態博物館).
