Established in Dashu in the 1950s, this theater prospered due to its close proximity to several military bases, but was purchased by Xǔ Kāichuán (許開傳) and subsequently demolished in 1960 to make room for the newer, more modern Changle Theater (昌樂大戲院), which was built on the plot of land immediately behind it. As Guangming Theater was swept into the dustbin of history little is known about its construction or appearance.
