A stone column with a dedication from former Toufen village chief (頭份庄長) Akiyama Hisashichi (秋山久七) was discovered in the courtyard of a long-abandoned farmhouse in rural Changhua in early 2026. It seems very likely this is a relic from Toufen Shinto Shrine (頭份神社), which is located much further north in Miaoli. Presently nobody knows how it ended up there but a surge of public attention suggests something may be done with the relic before long. The current location may be only temporary.
