Former site of a small shrine established around 1919 at the original Bunun settlement of Tavila in the mountains above Zhuoxi. The Japanese name Tabira (タビラ) is a transliteration of the Bunun place name. Following the colonial government’s forced resettlement policy in 1931, the community was relocated downhill and the shrine was formally transferred to the new site in December 1935, becoming Taihei-sha (太平社). While the general location of the original settlement is known, the current status of any shrine remnants is unknown.
