Former site of a small shrine near the entrance to County Road 65 beside present-day Sanmin Elementary School. The area was once a thriving camphor town with Japanese inns, restaurants, and a primary school for Japanese children. The shrine featured a myōjin torii, stone lanterns, and a main hall, but was demolished during the post-war widening of Provincial Highway 9 and the land was later sold to local residents. Formerly known as Mikasa-sha in Japanese, the settlement having been named after a nearby mountain resembling Nara’s Mount Mikasa.
