Sun Hai Guesthouse (孫海招待所) - Spectral Codex
孫海招待所

A staff dormitory for Sun Hai’s Zhenchang Lumber Co. (振昌木材行) on the Danda Forest Road (丹大林道) at around 2,300 meters elevation. Despite the name, this was not a presidential guesthouse in any formal sense; it is said to have been built to receive Chiang Kai-shek on a potential visit that never materialized, after which it reverted to use as offices and worker housing. Abandoned since logging operations ceased in the 1980s, the cypress structure still stands and is now used as an informal shelter by hikers en route to Qicai Lake (七彩湖). It is located immediately opposite Haitian Temple (海天寺).
