Forestry in Taiwan

Forestry (台灣林業) is a historically important industry in Taiwan, but also one that has almost completely vanished since the 1990s. Numerous traces of this industrial history can be found all around the country: abandoned high mountain logging camps, railway infrastructure for transporting timber, sawmills and factories for processing wood, and so on.
