A community exclusively for police officers and their families established on the south side of Tainan City in 1960. Most homes were abandoned by the late 2000s and the government has stepped in to revitalize the area and promote tourism by opening small shops and painting murals around the area. Although this community was not for members of the military it is often lumped in with dependents’ villages given the shared aesthetic.
