Established in 1967 to serve the needs of the many mining operations around Shuinandong. It was the terminal station of the Shen’ao Line (深澳線). Passenger service ended in 1977, tracks were removed in 1986, and the station was formally abolished in 1989. The site is now a parking lot for visitors to Jiufen and Jinguashi. Two original railway bridges can still be found across the road from the parking lot, one modified for pedestrian use and the other for access to a Taipower facility.
